This unfortunate self-portrait happened as I was trying to get a head-shot for my application to school last year. Why does it look like Zorro and I favor the same style of mustache??
In my program we have three options for our "big paper"--a thesis, a project or a literature review. I've chosen the Literature Review path but can't bring myself to actually review...I get easily distracted. Sometimes when I'm reading my texts there are still words I don't know even after all these years as a nurse (on Bouvet Island, where ever that is--small joke related to my profile) so I have to look stuff up in my medical dictionary. Everything's so fascinating I ending up endlessly browsing through the pages and pretty soon I've wasted like an hour.
Here's the great word I found:
pathfinder (path' find-er) 1. an instrument for locating urethral strictures. 2. a dental instrument for tracing the course of root canals.
Ouch!
I like the regular dictionary too but I read that when I should be practicing the cello. Lets not get confused.
I'm enjoying school, not too busy yet (hence I have time to wile away the hours on-line.)
How the heck do I get my pictures to appear between paragraphs instead of at the beginning?? Aargh!
You read the dictionary?
ReplyDeleteDid you know there's a blog called ultimate vanity, but it's not yours?
More of a nerd than I originally anticipated :) you get the pictures in between text by clicking on the photo and dragging it down. It is definitely a flaw in the blogger system...it's a pain in the butt! I like your outfit in the Zoro picture...cute.
ReplyDeletePS- I do believe I have found an editing error! urethral stricture??? shouldn't that be structure? Correct me if I'm wrong...and yes I shall gloat to high heaven if I am indeed correct!!
Hey you joined the blogging world! I started my blog as a joke (long story) and now it's sort of fun I suppose.
ReplyDeleteYour picture made me laugh so hard. I absolutely love it!
