I submit (give in,that is.)

Why The Ultimate Vanity? I can't help feeling there's a bit of vanity involved if I think people wants to read my opinions on whatever I might choose to write about--as I've accused other bloggers.

On the other hand, I love reading everyone else's blogs and for the most part they seem to be more about keeping everyone up to date on their lives rather than sharing unsolicited opinions.

I, however, have no life and endless opinions on a myriad of topics. Hmm.

I rediscovered a great word as I was reading through my little New Zealand travel journal--Pom or Pohm. Aussies use it to refer to British people and it stands for Prisoners Of Her Majesty! Is that not hysterical?

There was an Australian couple on a bike tour Maria and I took, and Stuart shared that one with us. I love words.

  1. What??? After all the taunting, criticizing, scoffing, harassing-- you are now writing a blog?? Can you at least change the background so it doesn't look like mine? And change the picture - it's gross.

  2. Ha, ha...Maria, we should be encouraging this! I must give myself due credit as I have been pressuring Sonja to blog for sometime. Where else can she express her crazy antics without interruption? I must say that it is appropriately named to suit your personality...that just mean's you're ultra paranoid about having your own blog. In time this will fade and you will feel you're not so vain...or else you're not alone in your vanity. Welcome Sonja Son!!

  3. Hey! I only made one comment and certainly not in such a negative vein. I like this color, kind of like split-pea soup.

Thank you for your support, Crystelle.

  4. Sonja! I'm so glad you have a blog! And I understand because I still feel embarrassed to write posts for the very reason you explained...

  5. Did you know split pea soup was just about the only food I HATED as a child. I think I'd eat it now...but the memory has been tainted. It's one of the only foods I can think of that I dislike.
