(From Mo's reception at Ray's Boathouse, Seattle.)
I've decided the ultimate dream job is really Restaurant Critic. Food for self and friends on the newspaper's dime, check out all the new restaurants, order some of everything, no need to finish if it's nasty. My dilemma when eating out is always what to order. I invariably wish I'd chosen what someone else has by the time the food arrives and end up salivating over their food and disappointed with my own. Where was I going with this? Restaurant critic, multiple menu items, gastronomic satisfaction.
And it's invariably MY food that you want to eat.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember any specific food item from Ray's, just that it was good overall. Guess that's what happens when it's your own reception.
How do you become a food critic? Wouldn't everyone want to do that?
There's a Vietnamese place you need to try in Seattle that has my new favorite dish - cold rice noodles, mixed veg/salad, grilled meat and eggrolls, all mixed together. mmmmmm
Yes, we ate the best food when we came to Mo's wedding. Lets plan a Seattle food fest vacation!!! Who's in?
ReplyDeleteSeattle Food Fest--yes!! In fact, this should be the plan: Hike the Wonderland Trail, burn a billion calories, then celebrate in Seattle. Everyone invited, must provide own backpack.
ReplyDeleteMaria, it's not only your food I want to eat (ego-centric...)I'm just less inhibited about asking you.
I'm just going to put this out there. All dining partners should assume I want a bite of whatever they're having, and of course I'm more than happy to share.
